As many of you know, I’ve had the privilege of running Harmony Yoga for the past two years, continuing the legacy of So Flexy Yoga, which has been a part of this community for six years in total. These years have been filled with growth, connection, and the joy of sharing yoga with all of you.
However, in the last two years, we’ve seen flat financial growth, and more recently, we’ve been experiencing a slight decline. This has led me to reconsider whether our community has the population and demand to sustain the studio in its current form.
As some of you know, I am now pursuing a career as an elementary school teacher. While I’ve loved running Harmony Yoga, the time and effort required are no longer sustainable for me, especially as the financial return has not been enough to justify continued operations.
With that in mind, I would love to hear your thoughts and input on the future of the studio. I am inviting you to a town hall meeting to discuss our options. Here are some potential paths we might consider:
- Partnering with local businesses or wellness practitioners to share space or resources.
- Adjusting our offerings to better meet the needs of the community.
- Exploring whether another individual or group would be interested in taking over the studio.
- Transitioning to a community-led or cooperative model where responsibilities are shared.
- Considering the option of closing the studio if we determine that continued operation is not feasible.
I believe it’s important to have an open and honest discussion about these possibilities and would greatly value your input. Please join us for a town hall meeting on [date and time] at the studio.
Thank you for being such an important part of this journey. I truly appreciate your support and insight as we consider the best path forward.
Please RSVP by registering if you plan to attend. This meeting will be recorded and a summary of our discussion will be sent out after the meeting.
